Bio
Patricia Park is the author of award-winning adult literary and YA novels. Re Jane(Viking/Penguin Random House 2015), a modern retelling of Brontë’s Jane Eyre set in New York and Seoul, was named New York Times Book Review Editors’ Choice; an American Library Association Award winner; an NPR “Fresh Air,” Oprah Magazine, BBCpick, and others. Her YA novels are Imposter Syndrome & Other Confessions of Alejandra Kim (Random House Children’s 2023), named NPR’s Best Books of 2023 and a Gotham Book Prize finalist; What’s Eating Jackie Oh? (Random House Children’s 2024), named Kirkus Reviews Best YA Books of the Year;and the forthcoming Ambrosia Lee Drops the Mic, about an aspiring stand-up comedian (for novel research, Park studied and performed stand-up for 6 months). She is a Fulbright scholar, an Edith Wharton Writer-in-Residence, a Jerome Hill Artist Fellow, and others. She has written forthe New York Times,New Yorker,Guardian, and others.
