First Floor Refresh

After a month of closure, the first floor of the library has been renovated! Lounge seating, noise cancelling study spaces, and a fresh look are some of the updates made. This new space is perfect for group projects, study dates, or reading between classes!

Upcoming Events

• Stop by the Librarians & Lemonade Stand on September 1st
  From 12–3 p.m., enjoy a glass of lemonade and treats. Learn about library resources and services, get helpful tips, and discover how your librarians can help you make the most of the library.
• Join us at Syllabi and Pie on September 3rd
  From 3 - 6 p.m., enjoy a slice of pie with ice cream while Library staff & faculty alongside representatives of other campus offices share information and introduce strategies to help you start your semester off strong.
• Absentee Ballot Days
  From September 14 - 18th, the Library will host Absentee Ballot Days to help ensure your vote is counted! We'll have supplies and guidance for voting in all 50 states, including free notary services. Learn more about requesting an absentee ballot in our subject guide, or just come by!
• Webinar: Creating an Academic Website on September 24, 3–3:30 p.m.
  Join us at this 30-minute webinar to learn the components for a scholarly website, get introduced to some basics for building your site, and sign up for your own free EdSpace site.

BlockBender

For the cinephiles or anyone looking for something new to watch, check out BlockBender! A Blockbuster style space located in B56 on the lower level. Here you can find titles shelved under Hard to Stream, New Titles, Staff Picks, Horror, TV Shows, Animation, Documentaries, Best Picture Winners and Washington DC on Screen.

Need a DVD player? This space has viewing stations for user convenience! (Or you may check out portable DVD players from the Circulation desk.
