Hashem Nawaf Alsharif

Dr. Hashem Nawaf Alsharif successfully completed his S.J.D. degree at American University Washington College of Law, specializing in Criminal Law and Disability Rights. The title of his dissertation was "Alternative Punishments to Incarceration in the Sharia Criminal Law: The Applicability of Those Alternatives in The Saudi Arabian Criminal Law for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities." His academic interests and professional background include: Criminal Law, Disability Rights, Islamic Law, Constitution Law, and Administrative Law. Dr. Alsharif is now teaching Criminal Law courses and is an advocate of the rights of persons with disabilities in Saudi Arabia.
