The Global Governance, Politics, and Security (GGPS) master's degree requires 36 credit hours of graduate coursework, including a capstone, that can be completed in two years (full-time) or up to six years (part-time). Our program combines the intellectual breadth of an international affairs degree with the practical skills that government agencies, international organizations, think tanks, and the private sector all demand. Students acquire a foundation across core fields—security, governance, politics, and economics—before diving in and tailoring their expertise to career goals through flexible concentrations in Global Security, Multilateral Diplomacy and Global Governance, State, Society & Politics, and International Economic Policy.
