On Thursday, October 5th, our proud community of American University alumni came together at the National Press Club to celebrate 70 years of experiential learning.

Throughout the evening, guests heard inspiring speeches from AU President Sylvia Burwell; SPExS Dean Carola Weil; David C. Brown, former head of the Washington Semester Program; AU Provost Dr. Scott A. Bass; Donna Shalala, Honorary Chair of the SPExS Alumni Engagement Campaign and WSP Class of 1961; and Maryland State Delegate Jheanelle Wilkins, an alumna of WSP and the AU School of Public Affairs.
